If you haven't had a look at YouTube lately, then you may not realize that they actually have video editing software right within your account. Now I am not a big fan of full videos from a webcam myself, but for particular purposes it can be useful. For example, you might be giving updates from an event for your channel subscribers. Perhaps you are at a tech conference and want to show or explain some of the latest gadgets on display. Reporters of the news variety can also use their laptop webcam to record quick updates as well to make online videos. Ideally you can make a fully edited video when you return from the trip, and even use some of those webcam shots in a more elaborate production.

Youtube has also partnered with third party editors such as animoto in the past that allows for up loaders to use that service for more full featured editing online. The bottom line is, just do a search when you decide to make videos online because there is a lot of see, or low cost options available now.
