Online video marketing is getting more and more competitive in terms of quality productions that have effective messages and professional graphics. This has been brought on by advanced software, free video hosting, and corporate entities that have discovered the value of having an online presence.

It is also increasingly hard to keep your viewers attention for the full length of your video as the nature of the internet - and in particular Youtube's layout - constantly begs your viewer to watch a different video or click on an advertisement. When using screenflow, you will want to keep this in mind.

So how do you strategize against this endless challenge to get and keep an audience of subscribers? Well you can be creative, funny even provocative but that all comes down to skill in your video production. What a lot of video creators do not understand though is the value of credibility. Your audience must feel in an internet trust in your videos that you are competent, confident and reliable in delivering what they want to hear - no matter the genre.

In video marketing this starts right from the moment someone reads your Youtube video title? Is it interesting? Is it compelling? Is it appealing to their curiosity? Is it something valuable enough to be spending time watching?

Are YOU recognizable in the video? If a video just starts blurbing out your marketing message, it's going to be missing a human connection right from the start. You don't necesarrily have to appear in the video, but even something as simple a photo head-shot and a brief mention such as "Hi, this is Larry Crown from the Movie of the same name here to tell you about…."  such and such. At least the viewer knows who is talking to them and why. Omission of such a thing creates doubt in your audience - even if it is on a subconscious level.

Being consistent in delivering video content in your niche also has a relationship building effect that generates subscribers and a social media following within Youtube and beyond. Your credibility is then further enhanced by being viewed as an expert in the niche.

So to build credibility when doing online video marketing you should start being forefront as a presenter, start offering consistent and valuable tips or information in your niche, and engage your Youtube subscribers by communicating directly with them.
